1. The Nature of This Service
Middlesex County Residents Directory is a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections associated with Middlesex County, New Jersey. It does not host government records and is not connected with a government office, court, or records custodian.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the service lawfully. You may not use the service or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit fraud or identity theft
- Make FCRA-regulated credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or similar decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish content at scale
- Interfere with site operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Agency
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on it, or returned by a linked tool, is a consumer report or may be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. External Services
Government portals, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, availability, prices, security, or data practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is offered “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that its content is complete, current, accurate, or continuously available, or that an outside portal will return an accurate result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators from claims, demands, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and short attributed quotations are welcome; full-page republication or systematic copying is not.
9. Changes to Terms
We may change these terms by posting an updated version. Use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Restricting Access
We may restrict or block access, without notice, when a user violates these terms or abuses the service.
11. Governing Law
New Jersey law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The New Jersey Open Public Records Act, P.L. 2001, c.404, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., governs public-record access issues where it applies, subject to its exemptions and other controlling laws.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
